Interment Rights

There are many options when it comes to choosing a final resting place for the deceased. For some, it’s a quiet grave near an old tree; for others, it’s a columbarium niche beside a pond, or a crypt close to a statue. In each case, it’s about finding a place that brings comfort and peace, and allows friends and family to visit and reflect.

When you purchase an interment right, you’re not buying the land or the crypt or niche. The land remains the property of the cemetery.

Instead, you’re getting the right to decide who can be buried in the grave, or entombed in the crypt. Likewise, you now have the right to decide on the type of memorialization and inscription, so long as it’s permitted within cemetery bylaws.
