Ground burial is a common type of interment, with two main options: single grave or a lot

Single Grave

A single grave can typically accommodate two caskets, with one on top of the other. Granite or bronze markers are a common form of memorial, but upright memorials are allowed in some areas.

Lot

Generally speaking, a lot is any area with more than one grave. Each grave within a lot can typically accommodate two caskets. In most areas, an upright monument is permitted on a lot, but its size is governed by the size of the lot.
