Memorial Wreaths and Saddles
Memorial Wreaths and Saddles are a meaningful way to pay tribute to the deceased.
Our service includes a stand and placement on the grave:

Wreaths are set-up on a stand near the memorial.
-
Saddles are mounted on top of upright monuments.

Wreaths and natural saddles may only be placed from November through March. We encourage you to re-use your wreath. If you wish to do so, please retrieve it by March 31st. After this date, all wreaths and natural saddles will be removed from the cemetery grounds and discarded.
Non-natural saddles are permitted year round.

2024 Special Care Program Notice
MPGC is committed to effecting positive change through thoughtful and responsible stewardship of our cemeteries in the communities in which you live.
Accordingly, commencing with the 2024 season, we will be proactively shifting away from the Special Care Program, in favour of a more consistent level of care that respects our environment and the long term sustainability of our cemetery properties.
Why is MPGC shifting away from the Special Care Program?
Global warming, coupled with our belief that urban land owners have a responsibility to reduce water use and reliance on fossil fuels, has created a situation where the noticeable difference between the turf appearance on ‘special-care’ locations and other areas of the cemetery will not be attainable.
Will the Flowerbed Program still be available?
Yes! For those who wish to purchase this service each year, our Flowerbed Program will continue as a means of providing are a more visible, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing beautification for your loved one’s grave. Plants and the planting medium will be selected for their drought tolerance and resistance to insect damage.
What if I purchased a multi-year plan?
If you pre-purchased the Special Care and Flower Bed Programs for 2024, MPGC will provide these services for your grave until the term agreement has been fulfilled. Please note that with the cessation of the Special Care Program in 2024 we will not be offering the multi-year payment plan for either program as an option this year.
