Rajiv Silgardo

Rajiv has over 30 years’ experience as a senior executive in the investment industry in the areas of asset and wealth management.  Prior to retiring in 2019, Rajiv Silgardo was President and CEO of UBC Investment Management Trust, where he oversaw the investment of the University’s pension, endowment and long-term asset pools. Before joining UBC, Rajiv was Co-CEO of BMO Global Asset Management.  He was also CEO of BMO Asset Management Inc. and BMO Investments Inc.  Before joining BMO, Rajiv was with Barclays Global Investors (BGI) Canada Limited where he held the roles of President and Chief Executive Officer, as well as Chief Investment Officer.  He currently serves on the board of OMERS Administration Corporation, where he is a member of the Investment and Human Resources Committees. Additionally, Rajiv is a Trustee at Alignvest Student Housing REIT.  He also currently chairs the Investment Advisory Committee of Grayhawk Investment Strategies Inc.  Other industry activities include serving as a past member of the Investment Committee of the Vancouver Foundation, the TSX Trading Advisory Committee, and of the Board of Governors of the Bishop Strachan School in Toronto.  Rajiv has a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) and a Master of Commerce from Delhi University, a MBA from the University of North Carolina, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Rajiv has been a member of the board since 2021 and serves on the Finance & Investment Committee.
